Becoming is a sculpture who’s point of departure is information that exists and can be found in different layers. The abstract pattern built up by triangles in birch or oak are simultaneously a decoration, or an artistic expression, and a code. Each pair of triangles represents a letter in the alphabet. The surface serves two purposes and two expressions simultaneously,  the abstract decoration and textual information. The text hidden in the code here is the myth of Echo and Narcissus.
