A resonance speaker is placed between the wood pieces. The speaker uses the wood structure as its resonating membrane so that the sound disseminates through the material and becomes audible. The  sound heard is a manipulated sound of the communication between Apollo 10 and ground control in Houston.  In the sound sculpture the spoken communication is taken away, so that all that remains, and what is heard is the sounds from the space craft and the communication devices, the architecture of the sound.
